The Board of Directors of True and dtac have approved to convene the joint shareholder meeting on the amalgamation

January 12, 2023 - True Corporation (“True”) and Total Access Communication (“dtac”) have today notified the Stock Exchange of Thailand that the board of directors of the two companies have approved to call a joint shareholder meeting (“JSM”) on 23 February of 2023. The Joint Shareholder meeting will consider and approve corporate matters related to the amalgamation. The parties aim to complete the transaction within the first quarter of 2023. Until the amalgamation is completed, both companies continue to operate separately. The suggested name of the amalgamated company will be True Corporation Public Company Limited. 20% of children are at risk of being exploited online. Thailand ranks 2nd in the world on online sexual exploitation of children, with the number of dark webs growing by five times. 9 January 2023 – dtac has joined forces with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the Thailand Internet Crimes Against Children (TICAC) Taskforce in a school tour to educate students at BMA-run educational institutes about online risks. The tour kicked off after findings show 20 per cent of Thai children are at risk of being sexually exploited online. January 6, 2023 – dtac TriNet paid the 3rd installment for the 700 MHz spectrum license fee, for a sum of THB 1,881,488,000 including VAT, together with a bank guarantee covering the outstanding balance of THB 6,585,208,000 including VAT.
